2-Select your manufacturers keyboard manager. Note this is a different place than just the KEYBOARD. In my control panel, it says LENOVO – KEYBOARD MANAGER. 3-Select Fn key and Ctrl key swap tab. Then verify Swap Function is turned OFF. Mine was turned ON by default, which meant the keys were reversed on my keyboard and I didn’t even know it!"

You can do this by making a change to your BIOS settings. Lenovo branded products: Access the BIOS (See below for how to do this in Windows 10). Once in the BIOS menu, select the"Configuration" tab. Select"Hotkey Mode" and set to"Disabled". Save and Exit the BIOS menu (press F10 and then Enter).

10. The bios swap for the function and ctrl keys is now implemented by Lenovo! If you have a newer Lenovo laptop (mine is a thinkpad x201), you can find the option to switch them under the"configure keyboard and mouse" options. (For my laptop, I access the Bios by pressing the blue"ThinkVantage" button while the computer is booting up). Share.

Download the drivers from the Lenovo drivers page (or search for"Lenovo slim USB Keyboard driver") Extract the driver (usually to"C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS") run"Lenovo Slim USB Keyboard.exe" in C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\KEYBOARD\c6kyb05us17\x64. There you can tick a checkbox for using the FN keys primarily. Hope that works!

One of the laptop's drivers (for Hotkey support) installed a control panel program called"keyboard manager". This program also has an option to ...
